Dunn to appear on 'Tough Grit' TV show

CROSSVILLE — Do you have a curious dog that likes to roam? Ever thought of installing an electric fence or pet door? Look no further than your local Tractor Supply store manager for seasoned pet advice.

Roxanne Dunn, manager of the Crossville Tractor Supply store, appears on the 22nd episode of “Tough Grit,” a DIY television show that combines rural-lifestyle experts from Tractor Supply Company and GRIT magazine with competitive team challenges. In the April 29 episode of “Tough Grit,” Dunn will teach the contestants how to install an electric fence and pet door, and provide pet training tips.

“The whole 'Tough Grit' experience was fun,” said Dunn. “Meeting Hank and the contestants and working with them was great. The show gives viewers a basis of what kind of customer service people can receive at Tractor Supply. We have the product knowledge and provide one-on-one interaction to help customers take care of all of their pet needs.”

The Baxter native joined Tractor Supply nearly 18 years ago as a part-time cashier at the Cookeville location. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening and spending time on her farm.

“Tough Grit” airs Mondays at 6 p.m. CDT on RFD-TV with an encore showing Tuesday at 8 a.m. CDT. Viewers can watch episodes at ToughGrit.com once they’ve aired on RFD-TV.

As Team Tractor Supply’s coach, Dunn guides a contestant through two challenges where efficiency, accuracy and safety count. Team Tractor Supply battles Team GRIT, led by GRIT Editor-in-Chief Hank Will, for up to $1,000 in gift cards to Tractor Supply.

RFD-TV is available on DirecTV (channel 345) and Dish Network (channel 231) and most major cable providers. Visit www.rfdtv.com for local listings. To learn more or to watch previous episodes, visit ToughGrit.com.

  • Conlee Color HI.jpg Conlee to perform at Palace

John Conlee is a lot like the songs of which he sings. He lives a domestic life with his wife Gale and three children, Rebecca, Jessica and Johnny. During the past two decades, Conlee has achieved a level of success that he has sustained by simply being himself and by making records that the listening public can relate to. He is a gifted entertainer, but he’s not into the glitz and hype of the entertainment world. He’d rather spend his “off the road” time working on his 32 acre farm outside of Nashville or engaging in his woodworking and gunsmithing hobbies.
