'A Time for Christmas' takes the stage Dec. 11

Christmas spectacular supports Hilltoppers, Inc.

CROSSVILLE — In the twinkling of an eye, the Christmas season has again appeared. And with it, a long-standing community tradition: the Hilltoppers, Inc. annual Christmas spectacular at the Palace Theatre. This year’s gala, “A Time for Christmas," takes place this coming Wednesday, Dec. 11, at 10 a.m.

Directed by Dee Underwood and assisted by Lee Robinson, this year’s presentation will feature beloved Christmas songs and carols, jolly holiday elves with bells on their toes, a rotund gentleman in red, mistletoe and merriment, stolen kisses by the Christmas tree, and heartwarming sketches that remind you, oh what fun it is to experience the season like we did as a child. Black lights, performance sticks and assorted skits are also on the program. Emcee favorites Bryan Sutherland and Brian Werner are back this year to keep things lively with their unique onstage chemistry.

Admission is still free and you are warmly invited to attend and bring both naughty and nice friends. Join us as these talented performers launch the Christmas season, then stroll downtown for one-of-a-kind gifts and a bite to eat. The stores of historic downtown Crossville are all within walking distance.

Hilltoppers, Inc. is a nonprofit agency sponsored locally by the United Fund, City of Crossville and Cumberland County. The agency supports adults who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. For further information, please call (931) 484-2535.
