GRITS coming to Palace May 31

CROSSVILLE — Highly acclaimed band GRITS From Dumplin Valley will perform at Historic Palace Theatre on May 31 beginning at 7 p.m. Chris Marion, longtime keyboardist for world famous Little River Band, will join GRITS. Chris sometimes performs with GRITS when not on the road with LRB. A rising young talent from Nashville, Shelby Terrell, will start things off with a solo show.

Grits performs over 100 dates each year having opened for the likes of Little River Band, Joe Nichols, The Beat Daddys, and performed countless headliner gigs of their own across the South. Whether it's a smoky blues pub or a corporate ballroom, Grits is the perfect musical accompaniment to an evening of great entertainment.

Refinement is essential to any bands survival and Grits is ramping up to a new level with their recent completion of "TN Weather," a recorded collection of blues standards along with a couple of original compositions. As diverse as the weather patterns that move through the Bible Belt, this 14 song recording represents a wide variety of styles and flavors — some of the best of their repertoire. Grits collaborated with Chris Marion, keyboardist for Little River Band who contributed keys and vocals to the project. Everything does indeed go better with a side of Grits.
