CCP hosts The International String Trio Oct. 6

CROSSVILLE — On Sunday, Oct. 6, CCP will host The International String Trio: a group of exceptionally talented musicians, all alumni of the Berklee College of Music, in Boston, MA. The group prides itself on its stylistic diversity, delivering Gypsy jazz, Appalachian folk, acoustic world music (Irish, Klezmer, Russian, Italian, French, bluegrass, and more), classical selections and popular songs from movie soundtracks, all with stunning virtuosity.

The Trio enjoys using the diverse cultural backgrounds of its members, who hail from Russia, Japan and England, to influence its unique performances. They lead their audiences through a multicultural musical journey, with music that appeals to a wide range of audiences, large and small, young and old.

The St. Petersburg News, Russia wrote:  “The International String Trio has such a unique sound and a large repertoire of music, ranging from Bach to the Beatles and from Elvis to Duke Ellington. The show was simply amazing!”

This not-to-be-missed concert takes place on Sunday, Oct. 6, at 2:30 p.m. in the intimate Adventure Theatre, and is sponsored by Uplands Village. Call the box office at 931-484-5000 or visit www.ccplayhouse.com.
