PAART to present Jeanne Jolly on July 5

Jeanne Jolly has been described as a cross between Alison Krauss and Linda Ronstadt. She as shared the stage with many well-known women in her genre, such as Emmy Lou Harris and Mary Chapin Carpenter. Jeanne is currently wrapping up a tour of a seven state-Northeastern tour promoting her new CD, “Angels.”

Her career started as a classically trained vocalist, traveling with her band from her native North Carolina to L.A. where she experimented with different styles of music. Four years ago, Jolly returned to her North Carolina roots to hone her guitar and songwriting skills and to fly solo.

Her haunting lyrics speak much of moving on, either on the road to heaven, a new love or back home to North Carolina. Jolly’s range stands out with each story-telling ballad; the steel guitar complements the clarity of her voice.

The recipient of several awards, including the “Best Local Musician” (NC Metro Magazine) she returns to the South to perform at Crossville’s Palace Theatre on Friday, July 7, at 7 p.m. Tickets are $12, for adults. Call 931-484-6133 for information. The Palace is located at 72 South Main St. in Crossville. It is an all-age concert. Visit www.jeannejolly.com to hear full-length samples of her music. PAART (Performing Arts Alliance Rural Tennessee) is a 501©3 non-profit presenter whose mission is to enrich, educate and entertain while providing support to talented performing artists.
