Tony Thomas and Appalachian String Band in concert Dec. 3

Thursday evening, Dec. 3, Tony Thomas and the Appalachian String Band will play traditional yuletide songs at the Obed Wild and Scenic River Visitor Center. This free concert, which features bluegrass, country, and folk Christmas songs, will begin at 6:30 p.m. (Eastern time), and should conclude by 7:30 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early, browse through the bookstore for that unique selection for your special reader, and sample the Christmas cookies, hot apple cider, and hot chocolate. The Obed Visitor Center is located at 208 North Maiden Street in downtown Wartburg. No reservations are required. This concert marks the final special event of the 2009 season at the Obed.
