The Rat Pack is coming back

If you missed DSquared’s sold out production of a “Tribute to the Rat Pack” at the Palace Theatre earlier this year, there’s good news. After the huge response to that show, DSquared Productions is bringing you once again those misbehaving but lovable guys. Here's your chance to sit in the comfort and atmosphere of the restored Palace Theatre while revisiting the magic that was Frank, Sammy and Dean (with a live Marilyn!) in a fun-filled evening of music, style, and laughter featuring many classic, timeless and memorable songs.

This will not be a replica of their last three man-show. Jay Fox and Patty Payne will join Dennis Donald and Rusty McClanahan with cameo performances by the very talented lyrical baritone Jim Case and endearing Jay David. Although they are not impersonators or “look-a-likes,” they are passionate performers and seasoned entertainers with a love of the genre and will bring their own take to the original Rat Pack era.

Jay Fox is a well-known recording artist, performer and songwriter from the island of Bermuda who now resides in Crossville. Patty Payne is a recognized actress in the area who has performed at cabarets. Dennis Donald, a resident of Crossville for two years, is a full time entertainer with many singing and acting credits. Payne and Donald are both involved in nonprofit organizations that enhance performing arts and artists in the area. Rusty McClanahan performed as a lead male vocalist with the Trinidaires in Colorado after retiring from GM and made his acting debut at CCP in Guys and Dolls. Jim Case, part-time Tennessean and Floridian whose voice is reminiscent of Robert Goulet, has appeared on stage nationally with the Senior Star Showcase. Jay David has been performing for 70 years and at age 82 is not ready to quit.

There is no way to reproduce the Rat Pack of the glory days of the '60s, but take a stroll down memory lane in this encore tribute to these untouchable icons.

If you’re nostalgic for the good ol’ days when guys were guys and gals were gals, you’re in luck. Find someone to share an evening of good times, great tunes, class, style and an abundance of fun as you are taken on a trip back to the unforgettable days of hip and cool at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 22, and Saturday, Aug. 23.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under and can be purchased at the Palace Theatre in Crossville. If you live in Fairfield Glade or close proximity, tickets can be delivered by calling 456-1972.
