New museum exhibit opens in Pleasant Hill

— Did you know the first hospital in Cumberland County was located in Pleasant Hill? This and other interesting facts about the area are presented in Pioneer Hall Museum located on Main Street, Pleasant Hill. In celebration of the 125th anniversary of Pleasant Hill Academy, there is a new exhibit this year honoring Dr. May Wharton, the Doctor Woman of the Cumberlands. The museum is open on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sundays from 2-5 p.m. Other hours are available by request.
