The Stone Memorial Lady Panther volleyball team traveled to Livingston Monday night and posted a 25-18, 25-22 and 25-20 victory to open the 2007 season.

The Lady Panthers were victorious against the Lady Wildcats, winning the first three games out of the five-game match.

Mary K. Krueger led the Lady Panthers with 11 kills, five blocks, one ace and one assist, while Brittany Eller tallied 10 kills, five aces, one block, one dig and one assist.

Tiffany Norris had nine kills, three blocks and one ace, while Caitlyn Sanders had 22 assists and one kill; Chelbi Brady had six kills, two blocks and two aces; and Kelsey Taylor had two aces and one dig; and Chelsea Nelson had three kills and two blocks.

"The Lady Panthers looked for the first match of the season. The Lady Wildcats had the Lady Panthers down in all three games due to some severe problems, but the Lady Panthers did not quit and fought their way back," said Coach Randy Alley.

After hosting Jackson County Tuesday night, they will play in the White County Tournament Friday and Saturday.
