The Stone Memorial Lady Panther soccer team defeated Rockwood 8-1 on Tuesday.

"This was a well-played game with good movement to the ball. Conditioning was strong, with very good passing and teamwork. The midfield played strong and we maintained possession for a good portion of the game," said Coach Tommy Tatum, whose team took 25 shots on goal.

Brittany Greene and Chelsea Holder each had three goals, while Kristin Largent and Samantha Riley scored once apiece. Ashley Sherrill, Kattya Vielmann and Greene each had one assist.

SMHS traveled to Anderson County Thursday and visits Kingston on Tuesday, Aug. 28, before hosting Loudon on Thursday, Aug. 30.
