Tennessee Tech's all-new Purple Pride Caravan is back on the road and rolling in July and August, with a stop planned at the Crossville Walmart on Thursday, Aug. 2.
Nine stops are planned in communities around the region in anticipation of the upcoming sports season, and fans are invited to attend. Every Caravan is free.
Fans who visit the Purple Pride Caravans will have the opportunity to meet and talk with Tennessee Tech head coaches, enjoy hot dogs and Pepsi soft drinks, and sign up for a grand prize drawing.
Each event will feature a tailgating atmosphere with coaches, cheerleaders and Tech mascot Awesome Eagle, and one lucky fan who registers during the Caravans will win a trip for two with the Golden Eagles to their Sept. 15 game at the University of Oregon.

Sponsored by Magic 98.5, Pepsi, Walmart and TTUsports.com, each Purple Pride Caravan event will last 98 minutes, beginning at 5 p.m. and running until 6:38 p.m.
As a special feature, Magic 98.5 (the home of Golden Eagle football broadcasts) will be registering people at each of the stops. One grand prize winner will receive a TTU/Oregon Flyaway Trip for two, including air travel, hotel accommodations, tickets to the game and meals.
No winners will be selected below the age of 18. Winner may not be a high school student-athlete or immediate family member of an athlete without jeopardizing collegiate eligibility at an NCAA institution. Complete rules for the contest can be found at the link below and also are posted on the Magic985.com website.
In addition to its stop in Crossville, the Purple Pride Caravan will also visit Jamestown, Smithville, Carthage, Livingston, McMinnville, Sparta and Cookeville before wrapping up at the Algood Walmart on Aug. 28, just two days before the Golden Eagle season opener in Tucker Stadium on Aug. 30.
