The Stone Memorial Lady Panther softball team improved their overall record to 14-9 and 6-1 in District 4AA with an 11-1 victory at Christian Academy of Knoxville (CAK) Tuesday evening and a double-header sweep at Scott County Wednesday night.

SMHS 11, CAK 1: "This was the most complete game we have played all season. Pitching was dominant. The defense had no errors. We had 15 hits," said Assistant Coach Ronnie McKinney.

SMHS opened the scoring with a two-run first inning on singles by Jalisa Parham, Randi Parsons and Brittany Green.

Two more runs scored in the second on singles by April Melton and Parham and a double by Parsons.

Hannah Rinks ripped a two-run double in the fourth, after a single by Casey Scarlett and an error.

Melton singled in the fifth, but was left stranded.

In the sixth, Scarlett and Parham both singled, with Scarlett scoring on a sacrifice fly by Rinks.

In the seventh, Lacey McKinney ripped a two-run homer after a double by Kayla McCoy, who was lifted for courtesy runner Lauren Matthews. Samantha Donathan reached on a fielder's choice, followed by a Scarlett single, a double by Parham and a single by Rinks.

McKinney pitched a complete game, allowing one run on three hits with nine strikeouts.

SMHS 7, Scott County 0: Hannah Rinks hurled a perfect game with five strikeouts.

The Lady Panthers tallied three runs in the first inning on singles by Randi Parsons, Brittany Green and Lacy McKinney and an error.

SMHS added two more runs in the fourth inning on singles by Parham and Parsons and an error for a 5-0 lead.

The Lady Panthers added three runs in the fifth on a fielder's choice, and singles by Parsons and Donathan.

SMHS 9, Scott County 1: Brittany Green hurled a complete game, allowing one run on two hits with eight strikeouts.

Green ripped an RBI double in the first inning for the early 1-0 lead, after Parsons reached on an error.

Three runs were scored in the third inning on singles by Parham and Rinks, two errors and a fielder's choice.

SMHS scored four times in the fourth inning on singles by Parham, April Melton and Jordan Johns and two errors.

Schedule: After hosting Loudon Thursday in a District 4AA game, the Lady Panthers will take spring break off, before hosting Kingston on April 28 at 5 p.m.
