The Cumberland County High School Lady Jets golf team finished seventh in the Cookeville Invitational Tournament Monday at Cookeville Country Club.

Thirteen teams for a total of 39 girls competed in the tournament, which used a modified stableford (points) system.

The Lady Jets finished with 106 points, 18 behind Cookeville #1 (124) and 13 points behind Riverdale (119). District 5AAA foe Walker Valley was fourth with 114 points, while Bradley Central tied for 11th with 92 points.

Stormi Henley had 58 points (83 stroke score) to tie for seventh place.

"Stormi had a difficult front making, making the turn with a 44, but I am proud of how she turned it around on the back to shoot a 39. She was one of the strongest players from the tee and will continue to improve her short game," said Coach Kim Herring.

Jessica Barnwell had 48 points (94 stroke score) for a tie for 21st place, and Elizabeth Christ finished 28th with 42 points (99 stroke score).

CCHS is now 9-6 overall and will play Bradley Central on Thursday, Aug. 16
