The ninth CRYSA soccer camp will be held at the Carl T. Duer Soccer Complex from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (half-day) or 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (full-day) on June 3-7.

If you are between the ages of six and 18 and want to learn new soccer skills, prepare for a rigorous high school soccer season or simply get to know the game of soccer, this is the place to be. The camp staff features several college athletes, former CCHS and SMHS players as coaches, and is run by Geir Bergvin.

CRYSA Camp not only focuses on soccer, but also teamwork, discipline, “The Golden Rule” and the love of the game. All participating players will receive a soccer ball and a T-shirt. Lunch will be provided each day to the players through the Cumberland County School Nutrition Program. Awards and prizes will also be awarded throughout the week.

Along with Bergvin, the Elite Camp will be led by A.R. Richardson who has trained several athletes who have gone on to earn college soccer scholarships. Also, Kat Nigro will be coaching the Elite players for the week. Her accolades include National College Championship Team Member, former ODP National Team player, Gatorade/ESPN TN Female Player of the Year, 2010-2011 Tennessee All Star High School Team, D-1 State Championship Team Member and U.S Regional Team Member. She has juggled the soccer ball over 5,000 times without the ball touching the ground. Incredible feat with the feet. She is an outstanding addition to the CRYSA Camp Staff!

Players who are 10 years or older (or prior-approved if younger) or have played soccer for more than six (6) years, may attend the Elite Camp. This part of camp is for advanced players and focuses on both the technical and tactical parts of the game.

All camp proceeds will fund the CRYSA/Bo Patton Memorial Soccer Scholarship.

CRYSA Camp is sponsored by the city of Crossville, TAP Publishing, Glade Realty, Century 21 Realty Group LLC, The Surgery Center, among other businesses.
