The Crossville Comets, a seventh grade AAU girls basketball team, comprised of girls from Brown,  Martin, Pleasant Hill and South Cumberland elementary schools, competed in a field of 56 teams from around the United States in the 2012 Division II Girls AAU National Basketball Tournament held at Kings Island, OH from July 14-18. After five days of competition, the Crossville Comets finished seventh in the nation with wins over teams from Maryland, Boston, Michigan, Minnesota and Indiana.  "The girls played with a lot of heart and represented Tennessee, Crossville, and future CCHS well,"  says Andy Brown, Comets head coach.  The girls and parents are very thankful for all the support and donations from Crossville Businesses and from the community at their fundraisers.
