The Coffee County Lady Raiders shut out the CCHS Lady Jets 10-0 in a District 6AAA contest Tuesday night at Jet Park.

Coffee County pitchers Alaina Lusk, Bricen Hunt and Brianna Jones combined for a one-hit shutout with seven strikeouts.

Ginny Clayborne was three for four with four RBIs, whlie Juli Layne, Hunt, Anna Spelling and Ashlyn Young each cracked two hits. Three other Coffee County players had one hit.

Bri Qualls hurled two innings for CCHS, allowing six runs on eight hits to absorb the loss, while Bailey Woods pitched three innings, giving up four runs on six hits with two strikeouts.

Callie Borgialli had the Lady Jet hit.

Coffee County scored once in the top of the first on singles by Layne and Clayborne, a stolen base and a sacrifice fly by Taylor Gullett.

The Lady Raiders extended the lead to 6-0 in the top of the sixth, scoring five runs on singles by Karlie Benedict, Spellings, Layne, Claborne and Howell, a triple by Young, two stolen bases, a wild pitch and a sacrifice.

Gullett's solo homer in the fourth made it 7-0, and the visitors added three runs in the top of the fifth on a double by Hunt, singles by Spellings, Young and Clayborne and a sacrifice fly for the 10-0 lead.

Lusk struck out four of the six Lady Jets she faced in her two innings.

Borgialli ripped a two-out single in the third off Hunt, who retired the side in order in the fourth to complete her two innings. James fanned two of three Lady Jets she faced in the bottom of the fifth.

The game ended on the TSSAA's 10-run rule after five innings.

CCHS will take a few days off before traveling to Cookeville Tuesday, before hosting the Plateau Classic next weekend at Crossville Centennial Park.
