On Dec. 14, the Children of Crossville Chamber Orchestra (COCCO) will present their first concert of the 2012-’13 season at the Palace Theatre at 7 p.m. The program will commence with the “Brandenburg Concerto #3 in G major” by Johann Sebastian Bach, which will be assisted by professional auxiliary personnel playing the woodwind parts. Participating students include extremely talented musicians in grades six through 12.
The theme for the evening will be “COCCO Goes Wild” and will focus on songs about animals. Such songs include “The Waltzing Cat” by Leroy Anderson, “The Lion Sleeps Tonight,” “Crocodile Rock” and many others. As always, there will be some surprises to delight the audience.
