Long selected for MidState Honor Choir

CROSSVILLE — Cumberland County High School Principal, Janet Graham and Choir Director Rebecca Purdue are pleased to announce that Chelsey Long, a 11th grade student has been chosen as a member of the MidState Honor Choir. 

Long was one of 154-second sopranos that auditioned from the mid-state area this past weekend in Murfreesboro. She will appear with the entire honors ensemble at Christ Church in Nashville Nov. 8. 

Long is the 17-year-old daughter of David and Kim Long.

The public is invited to hear the entire Cumberland County High School Advanced Choir in concert Oct. 2, at 6:30 p.m. in the small sanctuary of the First United Methodist church.

Purdue stated, "I want to offer everyone a personal invitation to attend our 'Fall Serenade' and hear Chelsey, along with the entire advanced choir. Among the numbers they will be performing will be 'Phantom of the Opera' by Andrew Lloyd Webber and a long time favorite, 'As The Deer,' by Martin Nystum."
