COCCO to perform final concert of the season


CROSSVILLE — On Friday, May 9, at 7 p.m., the Children of Crossville Chamber Orchestra (COCCO) will perform its final concert of the 2013-'14 concert season at the Palace Theatre. The theme will be "Music Is Global" and will feature music from around the world along with Haydn's 9th symphony.

The symphony will include professional assistance for the woodwind and brass sections. Some of those people include: Aaron Neeley, flute; Carolyn Karl, flute; Jessica Marsee, oboe; and Bill Boyd, French horn.

COCCO is comprised of high achieving young string students in grades 7-12 (sixth grade with teachers' recommendation). COCCO has won awards at both the state and national levels.

Tickets will be sold at the door and in advance at the Stagecoach Café. Ticket prices are $12 for adults and $5 for students.
