CROSSVILLE — Crab Orchard and other schools across Cumberland County celebrated Child Health Week October 7-11. Coordinated School Health sponsored the events and activities, awarding teachers and students with mini grants for promoting child health and fitness in the classroom. Crab Orchard won the county-wide grant of $300 for their health activities such as Family Fitness Night and their Festival of Movement. Students and families participated in a mile run/walk and received a free T-shirt for exercising and attending the event. Cumberland County's Public Health Department also set up informative and interactive booths for those attending the fitness festival.
