Anyone needing a coat for this winter is invited to the “Coats for the Cold” Celebration scheduled for Nov. 30 from 4 to 7 p.m. and Dec. 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Purcell Hall in Building 1 on the Tennessee Technology Center at Crossville campus. All items are free of charge.
Churches and other charitable organizations are invited to visit TTCC on Dec. 1 between 1 and 2 p.m. to select warm clothing to stock their clothes closets.
All sizes of new and “like-new” coats are needed for the “Coats for the Cold” drive being sponsored by TTCC's Student Leadership Council, the Cumberland County Schools Family Resource Center (FRC), and the Crossville Lion’s Club. Last year, about 2000 coats, jackets, hoodies, and sweaters were collected and given away.
Everyone is encouraged to check their closets for unused coats, jackets, hoodies and sweaters to donate. Donating is easy — simply drop items off at any of the 17 convenient locations:
