Blue Bash set Aug. 1 at CCHS

— The fourth annual Blue Bash for rising Cumberland County High School freshmen and their parents will be Thursday, Aug. 1. Student registration will begin in the gym lobby at 1:30 p.m., with student events beginning promptly at 2 p.m. Parents should arrive by 5 p.m. in the gym lobby to join their students for the remainder of the evening.

The First National Bank of Tennessee will provide hot dogs, chips and drinks for the parents and students, with Flowers Bakery providing dessert. Informational booths will be scattered throughout the building, and students will be given the opportunity to have a photo made in a cap and gown (compliments of Jostens and the CCHS yearbook/photography department) as part of the county-wide educational Commitment to Graduate (C2G) initiative.

The Class of 2017 will receive their schedules, meet many of their new teachers and locate their classrooms. Students are urged to be in dress code. The event will end at 7 p.m.
