Tennessee Technology Center honor students named

— Students from Cumberland County, Stone Memorial and Phoenix High School were recognized as A honor roll students for the first semester at the awards program at Tennessee Technology Center at Crossville on May 19.
Transcripts from TTCC reflect scores in three areas including classroom, shop, and work ethics.
“It may seem unlikely that so many of our high school students earn an A average,” comments Barbara Thornhill, TTCC counselor. “The goal of our instructors is to teach until the student learns. Because our instructors teach on an individualized basis, they have the flexibility to allow a student extra time to master a skill. Once the student masters one level, they move on to the next level. After all, we are training students for the work force. No one wants to hire an average or below average employee.”
