Stone Memorial High School senior Emily Burgess was the winner of the 2008 Prom Promise drawing at SMHS. Burgess' name was drawn from more than 120 SMHS seniors who signed a pledge promising not to drink and drive on prom night. The pledge signing was held in conjunction with the annual mock DUI accident. Burgess accepted the $50 prize from TAD Center Executive Director Jan Sellers. A second mock DUI/Prom Promise will be held at CCHS prior to their May prom.
