Robert “Jersey” Merlo, 42, passed away June 18, 2011.
Born Dec. 3, 1968, in new Brunswick, NJ, he and his family had moved to Crossville six years ago and found a job with Durable Products as a machine operator.
Survivors include his long time companion and best friend, Neva Greco; and two sons, Angelo and Bobby; father and mother, Robert and Lena Deter; and his aunt, Susan Violante.
What follows is a quote from loved ones, “What can we say about Jersey that you don’t already know. He had a bigger heart than anyone else that we have ever known. Jersey loved life and lived it well everyday. He lived too fast and died too young.
Jersey, will be truly missed by all your family and friends, and will always be in our hearts and memories always.”

Memorial service being held at the Creston Pentecostal Church, on 1090 Creston Road, Crossville, TN 38571, (931)-261-4700 on Saturday, July 9 from 3-6 p.m.
