Payne has played the part of Mrs. Roosevelt many times in the Homesteads Album, an original production of the Cumberland County Playhouse, and her performance was one of the highlights of the Homestead's 75th anniversary celebration. It was an amazing ride to South Pittsburg, TN where the Vietnam Veterans of Cumberland County were honored with a proclamation and the key to the city. The ride honored all veterans. The event had live music, food and a brief ceremony. It was a great experience.
