Mario Gambaccini with the Woodmen of the World Crossville chapter passed American flags out to those attending Saturday's event.
The Cumberland County Community Band played a number of patriotic tunes during the prelude to the Veterans Day ceremony. The band also played The Star Spangled Banner and honored each branch of the armed forces by playing the different anthems as each branch's flag was raised.
The Cumberland County High School JROTC Color Guard retire the colors at the conclusion of the ceremony.
Veterans and citizens in attendance salute the American flag as it is presented.
New recruits for the Young Marines salute as the Community Band plays The Star Spangled Banner.
Members of area veterans organizations were in attendance.
The Cumberland County Young Marines honored each branch of the United States Armed Forces, taking special note of the Marines, which celebrated its 232nd birthday Saturday.
(Ret.) Lt. Col. Mark Ochsenbein was the guest speaker at the Saturday Veterans Day ceremony. Ochsenbein spoke of the many veterans from Tennessee throughout history who answered the call to service to their country.
