The Crab Orchard Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution kicked off a celebration of the U.S. Constitution Monday at the Village Green Mall in Fairfield Glade.

The Crab Orchard Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution kicked off its celebration of Constitution Week Monday at the Village Green Mall by ringing bells as part of Bells Across America. DAR members Sandra McRae, portraying Mrs. Elbridge Gerry; Amy Dickens, Constitution Week coordinator; and Elizabeth Clark, portraying Dolley Madison, ring their bells to celebrate the 220th birthday of the United States Constitution.
Trish Zacker and Jennifer Marovich pledge to read the Constitution during the week. The DAR asks everyone to take time to think about what the Constitution means to them during this special week.
