Kelley L. Tabor

Feb. 9, 1935 — April 27, 2009





Kelley Levoy "Buddy" Tabor, 74, of Pleasant Hill, passed away April 27, 2009. Funeral services were conducted May 1 from the chapel of Crossville Memorial Funeral Home, with Larry Potter officiating. Special singing was by the Cobb family and Donnie Shelton. Burial was in Clifty Cemetery.





Mr. Tabor was born Feb. 9, 1935, in Cumberland County, the son of Logan Alonzo Tabor and Eliza Venoy Tabor.





He was retired from the City of Crossville Sanitation Department and was of the Baptist faith. He was an avid harmonica player and had won awards at the Cumberland County Fair and at Smithville for his playing. He was a kind and gentle man and loved children.





Survivors include his wife, Rendy Campbell Tabor of Pleasant Hill; brother, David Tabor (Sue) of Crossville; sister, Allene Lee (James) of Chehalis, WA; son-in-law, Rick Hodge, and step-grandson, Travis Hodge, both of the Clifty community; and sisters-in-law, Margaret Bowers and Wilma Hammons of Pleasant Hill.





In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Venoy Breeding and Elizabeth Gentry; brother, Delley Tabor; stepdaughter, Mary Hodge; and stepson, Melvin Eugene Campbell.





Pallbearers were his nephews, Eric Tabor, Jeff Breeding, Jon Breeding, Chris Breeding, Donnie Gentry and Douglas Lee.





Honorary pallbearers were brother-in-law, James Lee; friend, Emmett Kirk; and nephews, Jimmy Hinch and Mike Kearley.





Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.

    Aileen Pridgen Patience, 92, of Crossville, passed away April 29, 2010. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 15, at Central Baptist Church, with the Rev. Roland Smith officiating. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA, at a later date.
