Thomas J. Godsey

Sept. 17, 1960 — March 28, 2008





Thomas Joe Godsey, 46, of Crab Orchard, passed away March 28, 2008. Funeral services were conducted April 1 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with Bro. Phil Jenkins officiating. Interment was in Haley's Grove Cemetery.





Mr. Godsey was born Sept. 17, 1960, in Crab Orchard, the son of Frank Marion Godsey and Sylvia Lucille (Dannels) Godsey.





He worked in the rock quarry and was a member of the Church of Christ.





Survivors include his wife, Loretta "Dootsie" (Phillips) Godsey of Rockwood; son and daughter-in-law, Grady Joe and Felicia Godsey of Crab Orchard; daughter, Sylvia Marie Denice "Sylbug" Godsey of Crab Orchard; granddaughters, Skylar Godsey and Daisy Marie Godsey of Crab Orchard; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tommy Godsey of Crab Orchard, Pete and Alice Godsey of Ozone, Ricky and Edith Godsey of Crab Orchard and Bobby Lynn and Tammy Godsey of Crab Orchard; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Geraldine Conger of Knoxville, Christine Cox, Patsy Barnes, Peggy and Carl Back, Lucy and Doyle Cox and Phyllis and Allen Hale, all of Crab Orchard.





In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Godsey; and sisters, Ima Jean Hoskins, Glenda Gunter and Brenda Godsey.





Pallbearers were Cheyenne Barnes, Donnie Moore, Newt Cox, Scotty Godsey, Tinker Godsey and Anthony Adkisson.





Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.

    Aileen Pridgen Patience, 92, of Crossville, passed away April 29, 2010. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 15, at Central Baptist Church, with the Rev. Roland Smith officiating. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA, at a later date.
