Elizabeth Ann Ward, 32, of Etowah, passed away Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at Athens Regional Medical Center, after a courageous battle with cancer.
A native of Middlebury, VT, Elizabeth has lived in the Crossville and McMinn County area for the past 25 years. She was a 2003 graduate of Tennessee Wesleyan College and a member of Christian Covenant Church. Elizabeth was a devoted wife and mother and had a sincere heart to serve her friends.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Jim and Marjorie Dunlop and paternal grandparents, James and Lynn Brewer.
She is survived by her loving husband of 10 years, Nehemiah Ward of Etowah; children, Gracious, Silas and Justice Ward of Etowah; parents, Gary and Claire Brewer of Crossville; and brother, Gary Brewer and wife Jessica of Crossville. Several cousins, nieces and nephews, and other extended family members also survive.
A celebration of Elizabeth’s life was held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, from the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Ward officiating.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Piney Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. A dove release ceremony will conclude the services.
The family received friends from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Charles M. Lovitt, 77, of Crossville, passed away April 6, 2014, at Kindred Care Rehab in Algood. Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 26, at 10:30 a.m. from the Chapel of Hood Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Green Acres Memory Gardens. Pastor Robert Krueger will officiate.
David Franklin King, 72, Crossville, passed away on April 18, 2014, at his home. Funeral service will be today, April 22, at 2 p.m. at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home, with Donald Wattenbarger officiating. Burial will follow at Tolletts Chapel Cemetery.

Burial will follow at Rinnie Cemetery.
William Edward Day, 89, of Crab Orchard, passed away April 14, 2014, at Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville. Funeral services were held April 17, with Bro. Bob Hawkins officiating.
Thurman McKinley Mutter, 83, of Crossville, TN passed away on March 10, 2014, at Cumberland Medical Center. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 19, at 1 p.m. at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home.
Jennie Louise May, 82, of Crossville, passed away April 12, 2014, at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville. Funeral serivces will be held Saturday, April 19, at 11 a.m. at Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Lanita Monroe officiating. Interment will be in Black Oak Cemetery.
James Lesley England, 92, of Sparta, passed away April 14, 2014, at his residence.
