William C. Webb

CROSSVILLE — William C. "Bill" Webb, 74, of Fairfield Glade, passed away March 1, 2011. visitation and Memorial services will be held 2-3 p.m. Sunday, March 6, at Stevens Mortuary (1304 Oglewood Avenue, Knoxville, TN.) Military funeral services will be held in East Tennessee Veteran's Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, March 7.

Mr. Webb was born July 8, 1936, in Sevierville, the son of the late Earl and Jeanette Webb of Knoxville.

He was an avid golfer and Tennessee Volunteer fan. He enjoyed visiting the American West, especially Yellowstone National Park. He also served as an Air Traffic Controller in the United States Air Force and was retired from the Library of Congress Motion Picture Lab at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Matilda Jane Webb of Fairfield Glade; children, Charles "Chuck" Webb and his wife Pamela of West Carrollton, OH and J. Craig Webb and his wife Brady of Driggs, ID; brothers, Clarence Webb and wife Rita of Seymour and Marvin Webb and his wife Nora of Powell; grandchildren, Ronnie Mosley and wife Megan, Holly Berry and husband Kelly and Kayleigh Webb of West Carrollton, OH, Mabel Jane Webb and Augustus "Gus" Webb of Driggs, ID; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Trinity and Tallen berry of West Carrollton, OH and Alexis Mosley of Miamisburg, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Delores Smith; and grandparents, Charlie and Grace Webb, and William "Pink" and Maude Sneed.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Hospice House of Cumberland County, 30 East Adams Street, Crossville, TN 38555.

Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
