Harold Dyer

CROSSVILLE — Jan. 15, 1933—March 30, 2013

Mr. Harold Wirt Dyer, 80, of Cookeville, passed away March 30, 2013, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. A memorial service will be held Thursday, April 4, at the Willow Ave. Church of Christ in Cookeville. His remains will be cremated.

Mr. Dyer was born Jan. 15, 1933, in Jackson County, TN. He married Margie C. Pippin Dyer Dec. 1, 1951. He was retired from Kroger's with 21 years service and was also a retired carpenter.

He was a member of the Pippin Church of Christ.

Mr. Dyer is survived by his wife, Margie C. Pippin Dyer of Cookeville; daughters, Vickie Marlene Wells and husband, Lance, of Cape Coral, FL, and Pamela Marita Winningham and husband, Ronald, of Crossville; grandchildren, Kevin (Nicole) Burgess, Ronald (Jessica) Winningham II and Mandy (Tom) Kelly; 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Ernes Carl (Mary) Dyer of Bloomington Springs, TN; and sister, Louise (Bill) Flatt of Cookeville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paskell Wirt Dyer and Flora Pippin Dyer.

In respect of Harold's last wishes, in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cookeville Cancer Care Fund or the Double Springs Ladies Quilting Fund by contacting the funeral home.

Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
