CROSSVILLE — James L. "Jim" Henline, 89, of Crossville, passed away Feb.9, 2011. Funeral services were held Feb. 12 from the chapel of Hood Funeral Home, with Bro. Robert Lawrence officiating. Interment was held in Woody Cemetery.

Mr. Henline was born April 23, 1921, in Lenoir City, the son of William R. and Martha Ledford Henline.

He was retired as a supervisor from Mountain Farm Bakery and was of the Baptist faith. He loved to fish and was a huge fan of racing. His favorite way to spend a weekend was a full day of fishing on Saturday and on Sunday an afternoon of Nascar.

Survivors include his sons, Doc Henline and his wife Kathy, Larry Henline and his wife Dianne and Damon Allred and his wife Missy all of Crossville; daughters, Nancy Bridges and her husband Ronnie and Edie Phipps and her husband Bobby all of Crossville; sister, Anna Deck of Crossville; sister-in-law, Dean Hood of Crossville; grandchildren, Eric Henline, Wayne Henline, Vickie Houston and her husband Kenny, Josh Allred, Jake Allred and his wife Deanna, Rhonda Medley and her husband Charles, Troy Bridges and his wife Jan, Chrystal Bridges, Mitchell Phipps, PJ Phipps and his wife Lisa, Anna Phipps and her fiancee Gary Platz, Bobbie Jo Phipps and Billy Joe Phipps; great-grandchildren, Jared, Jordan, Tiffani, Brigitte, CJ, Devin, Travis, Taylor, Mary Beth, Nathaniel, Tess, Bailey, Izabella, Savannah and Dashiell; and great-great-grandchildren, Jace, Hayden, Braxton and Briley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Askline Henline; infant daughter, Patricia Ann; brothers, Billy, Walter, Carl and Ray Henline; sister, Hattie Babb and great-grandson, Scottie Bridges.

Pallbearers were Eric Henline, Wayne Henline, Troy Bridges, PJ Phipps, Mitchell Phipps, Josh Allred and Jake Allred.
