John T. Shovlin, 86, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2013.
Born in Fort Wayne, John had recently moved back after spending 1993 to November 2012 in Fairfield Glade, TN. He worked in accounting with the U.S. Post Office for 29 years. John was a member of Fairfield Glade United Methodist Church, Fairfield Glade, Crossville Carving Club, Crossville, and was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran. He was an avid I.U. basketball fan who enjoyed golfing, traveling and cooking, but most of all loved his family.
Surviving are his wife, Rebecca S. Shovlin of Fort Wayne, IN; son, Robert (Judy) Shovlin of Logansport, IN; daughter, Linda Kroells of Marietta, GA; stepsons, Jeffery Morgan of Fort Wayne, IN; Charles (Rowena) Morgan of Bluffton, IN; and Gene Paul Morgan of Albion, IN; grandchildren, Kelly (Shawn) Keith of Marietta, GA; Beth Anne (Matt) Stonebraker of Indianapolis, IN; Casey (Angela) Morgan of Huntington. IN; Kristine Morgan of Bluffton, IN; Kimberly (Stephen) Barr of Indianapolis; and Jamie (Christopher Hartley) Hobson of Farmville, VA; and 8 great-grandchildren.
John was preceded in death by his first wife, Marilyn Shovlin; father, Joseph William Shovlin; mother, Mary Theresa Shovlin; brother, Thomas Shovlin; sister, Mary Ann Hutsell; son-in-law, Dennis Kroells; and grandson, Patrick Morgan.
Memorial service is at 10 a.m. Saturday at Covenant United Methodist Church, 10001 Coldwater Road, with calling 1 hour prior. Memorial calling also 5-8 p.m. Friday at D. O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, IN.

Earle Phillips Jr., born Columbus, OH, 1922, passed away Nov. 29, 2013, in Atlanta, GA. A memorial service is planned for early spring at the Fairfield Glade Methodist Church in Fairfield Glade. It will be announced at a later date.
Barbara Ann (Stuhlmacher) Heeschen, of Gettysburg, PA, passed away peacefully at home Dec. 1, 2013, after a 20-year struggle with heart disease and ensuing complications.

Christopher Lynn Dishman
Dear, beloved son, brother, uncle, father and friend Christopher Lynn Dishman was born Sept. 21, 1970, in Muncie, IN, to Steve and Janet Dishman. The Lord and Savior took him Dec. 8, 2013. Family will receive friends today, Dec. 11, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Crossville Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Thursday 1 p.m. with Bro. Donnie Bell officiating. Burial will be in Green Acres Memory Gardens.

Joyce Burgess Croft, 70, of Crossville, passed away Dec. 5, 2013. Funeral services were held Dec. 8 from the chapel of Hood Funeral Home. Pastor Steven Pickard officiated, with burial in the Allen Springs Cemetery.
Camille Barnwell Combs, 48, of Crossville, passed away Dec. 4, 2013. Funeral services were held Dec. 7 at Pine Grove Church of God of Prophecy. Bro. Jack Lawson officiated, with burial in Green Acres Memory Gardens.
A memorial service was held Dec. 6 at Trinity Tabernacle for Billy Kay Jones, who passed away at home Nov. 29, 2013, at the age of 58.
John William "Bill" Irvin, 85, of Crossville, passed away Dec. 2, 2013, at his home. A memorial service will be held today, Dec. 10, at 2 p.m. at Tansi Community Church, with Dr. Paul Dixon officiating. Family will receive friends on Tuesday at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice of Cumberland County.
Roger Morris Goss, 65, of Crossville, passed away Dec. 1, 2013, at Renaissance Terrace in Harriman. Funeral services were held Dec. 5 at Bilbrey Funeral Home, with Bro. Jonathan Loveday officiating. Interment was in Price Cemetery.
