Janet Irene Kellis

CROSSVILLE — Janet Irene Kellis, 79, of Fairfield Glade, passed away April 20, 2012, in Crossville. Funeral services are April 28 at 10 a.m. at Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 E. 2nd St., in Franklin, OH. Burial will be in Woodhill Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Janet was born in Franklin, OH, Dec. 3, 1932, to Willard Klaber and Pearl (Collier) Klaber. She was a 1950 graduate of Franklin High School, graduate of Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School and Miami University.

Janet married Dale Kellis in October of 1956 in Ft. Smith, AK, and raised their family in Franklin and later lived in Bath, OH, and Troy, MI. They retired to Fairfield Glade where they owned and operated American Manufactured Exteriors.

Janet was active in the Fairfield Glade Ladies Club, the Friends of the Art Circle Library and the Garden Club. She loved gardening, was an avid reader, and enjoyed traveling throughout the country and the world.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Pearl Klaber; brother, Willard "Chick" Klaber Jr.; and husband, Dale Kellis.

She is survived by a daughter, Julie Kellis; sons, Craig Kellis and wife, Gina, and Chris Kellis; grandchildren, Jamie Cole Fields and husband, Ryan, Jonathon Cole, Taylor Kellis, Drew, Darren and Devon Kellis; and one great-granddaughter, Riley Fields.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Franklin Historical Society, the Friends of Art Circle Public Library in Crossville, or Hospice of Cumberland County.
