Mr. Perry Neal McDonough Sr., 78, of Rome, GA, passed away Jan. 7, 2014, at a Chattanooga hospital. Graveside services will be held Monday, Jan. 13, at 2 p.m. at the Georgia National Cemetery with the Rev. Mac McCurry officiating. The American Legion Post #5 Honor Guard will present full military honors. The family will receive friends at Henderson and Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, today, Jan. 10, from 6 until 8 p.m. At other hours, they may be contacted at each of their respective residences.
Mr. McDonough was born in Daingerfield, TX, Dec. 12, 1935, the son of the late Eva Mae Hutson and the late Perry Morris McDonough. He graduated from Daingerfield High School in 1954. At age 18, he joined the United States Air Force for two tours, retiring with two Honorable Discharges. He also served six tours with the United States Air National Guard Reserves, which he did throughout the years with Honorable Discharges and retirement. Mr. McDonough graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering. Perry had numerous careers as an electrical engineer throughout the United States with the last one being Stone & Webster, known in Boston, MA, retiring with them in Tennessee.
One of his favorite hobbies was flying. He was a pilot and had several airplanes for years before he was unable to fly due to being ill. He was also a golfer, loved fishing and for several years was a "HAM Operator." Mr. McDonough was very active in church and was a member of the Stuart Baptist Church in Chattanooga, but had been attending the Pleasant Valley North Baptist Church in Rome.
Survivors include his wife, Jeanne McDonough, the former Wilma Jeanne Couey; a son, Perry N. McDonough Jr., Warner Robins, GA; a daughter, Tracy Johnson, Soddy Daisy; two stepsons, Mark A. Coffman and his wife, Cam, Rome, GA, and Steve Coffman and his wife, Martha, Rome, GA; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers, Jon, Don and David McDonough, all of Texas; special friend and stepdaughter, Gina McDonald, Marietta, GA; a stepdaughter, Sherrie Borkowski, Texas; a stepson, Donald Wallace, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.
Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel, 3002 Maple Rd., Rome, GA, has charge of the funeral arrangements.

Jerry Lynn Burgess, 52, of Crossville, passed away March 6, 2014. Funeral services were held March 9 at Hood Funeral Home. Burial was in Hale's Chapel Cemetery. Bro. Gary Hargis and Bro. Rudy Oaks officiated.
Thomas Eugene "Buddy" Fish, 70 of Crossville, passed away March 7, 2014. Funeral services were held March 9 at Hood Funeral Home. Bro. Davis Harp officiated. Burial will be in Smith's Chapel Cemetery.
Thelma Hall, 88, of Crossville, passed away March 4, 2014. Funeral services were held March 8 at Hood Funeral Home. Bro. George Wallace officiated with burial in Green Acres Memory Gardens.
Mr. Jack R. Hurst, 69 of Crossville, formerly of Harriman, passed away March 11, 2014, at his residence. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Evans Mortuary in Rockwood. Funeral service will be Friday, March 14, at 11 a.m. at Evans Mortuary, with the Rev. Harold Qualls officiating. Interment will follow at Willard Park in South Harriman.

Roy Carmon Myers, 95, of Crossville, passed away March 5, 2014, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville. Funeral services were held at Bilbrey Funeral Home, with Bro. Eddie Kilgore officiating. Obituary reading was by Bro. Chris Bonts and special speaker was Nathan Parrish. Interment was in Green Acres Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Rita Findley Jones, 65, of Rockwood (Westel Community, Cumberland County), passed away March 5, 2014, at the Roane Medical Center in Harriman.
Judith Elizabeth Conger Interval, daughter of David and Edith Conger, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 8, 2014, in Crossville.

Lorine Gertrude Barnwell, 86, of Crossville, passed away March 5, 2014, at Cumberland House Hospice in Crossville. Funeral services were held March 7 at Bilbrey Funeral Home, with Bro. Mark Hall officiating. Interment was in Pomona Cemetery.
