John Arthur Price, 86, of Cumberland County, passed away Feb. 9, 2014, in Farmington Hills, MI.
He was born in Freehold, NJ, the son of the late J. (John) Arthur Price and B. Loretta (Collins) Price. John graduated from St. Rose of Lima School and Freehold High School. He also graduated from the evening division of Rider College in New Jersey in accounting.
John worked in several accounting positions before joining the Bendix Corporation. He worked at two of their New Jersey divisions. He was later transferred to the Bendix world headquarters in Southfield, MI, where he was an accounting manager. He retired 32 years after joining Bendix.
John was a member of Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Fairfield Glade, where he had been active on church committees. He also gave freely of his time to help people and organizations with his accounting skills. He especially enjoyed working with Habitat for Humanity and the Knights of Columbus. He was a 50-year plus member the Knights of Columbus and was awarded Knight of the Year (1993-'94) plaque by Council 8152. In earlier years at Fairfield Glade, John was active in the square dancing club and the Art Guild. He loved gardening and had his Master Gardener certificate from Michigan State University.
John is survived by his wife, Sarah (Barnasconi) Price; brother, Joseph Price; children, Michelle Manross (Christopher) and John Michael Price (Lori); grandchildren, Brian and Matthew Price and Conner and Emma Manross.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Price Oliver; and brother, William Donald Price.
Visitation and vigil service were at the Harry J. Will Funeral Home in Livonia, MI. Funeral Mass was Feb. 17 at St. Michael the Archangel Church in Livonia. John had been a member of that church for the 21 years he lived in Michigan.
Burial was at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Southfield, MI.

Carl Nelson Sherrill, 82, of Pikeville, passed away July 24, 2014. Funeral services were held July 26 from the chapel of Hood Funeral Home. Bro. Chip Winstead officiated, with burial in Walker Cemetery.
Mary Margaret Ives Haack passed away July 27, 2014 in Crossville. She resided at Fairfield Glade Assisted Living near her daughter. She was 98. Memorial services for Mary will be in Muncie, IN.

Harvey Alvis Derrick, 91, of the Grassy Cove community, passed away July 22, 2014. Funeral services were held July 26 at Grassy Cove United Methodist Church. The Rev. Martha Hale and the Rev. Monica Mowdy officiated, with burial in Hedgecoth Cemetery.

Ruth Vicory Yoakum was born on May 9, 1912, to Wilma Pearl McCreary and Walter Carpenter Yoakum in Leavenworth, KS. She passed away on July 17, 2014, at the Wharton Homes at Uplands Village in Pleasant Hill. There will be a service of the worship of God in her memory at the Pleasant Hill Community Church in Pleasant Hill at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 2.
William “Bill” Fancher Graham, 70, of Crossville, passed away peacefully at home July 19, 2014, after a long and courageous battle with malignant lymphoma. Funeral services were held July 22 at Main St. Church of Christ. Bro. Barry Kennedy and Bro. Larry McDuffee officiated, with burial in Green Acres Memory Gardens.
