William Russell Blaylock
May 10, 1959 — Sept. 8, 2007
William Russell Blaylock, 48, of Crossville, TN, passed away Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007. Russell won his 23-year courageous battle with cancer on Saturday and is now walking in perfection with Jesus.
Funeral services were held in the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home Sept. 11, 2007 with Bro. Brian Smith officiating. Graveside services were held Wednesday, Sept. 12, at Crossville City Cemetery.
Mr. Blaylock was born May 10, 1959, in Crossville, TN, the son of Glenn and Dianne (Myers) Blaylock. He worked as an office manager and accountant at George Mitchell Manufacturing and was a member of Homestead Baptist Church.
He is survived by his parents, Glenn and Dianne (Myers) Blaylock of Crossville; sisters, Lisa and Bruce Huntley of Lebanon, TN, and Jill and Duane Owen of Cumming, GA; grandmother, Fanilous Blaylock of Crossville; niece, Elizabeth Huntley of Lebanon, TN; and aunts and uncles, Marie Randolph of Tuscon, AZ, Chris and Hook Boston of Crossville, Sue and Robert Breeding of Crossville, Joyce Barton of Cookeville, TN, Wayne and Martha Blaylock of Crossville, and Jean Myers of Crossville.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, James J. Blaylock of Crossville, TN; and grandparents, Edwardand Artie (Watson) Myers of Crossville.
Pallbearers were Shane Turner, Bobby Breeding, Greg Boston, Preston Martin, Jonathan Blaylock and Ralph Wilder. Honorary pallbearers were employees of George Mitchell Manufacturing.
Memorials may be made to Homestead Baptist Church Building Fund.

Clark Edward Green
Oct. 30, 1917 — Sept. 10, 2007
Clark Edward Green, 89, of Crossville, TN, went home to the Lord on Sept. 10, 2007. A celebration of life service will be announced at a later date.
He was born Oct. 30, 1917, in Pawling, NY, the son of Rufus and Julia Smith Green. He served three years in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Following World War II, he became a well-known member of his community in Winsted, CT, where he was the owner of a retail milk business and later the proprietor of a retail liquor business. He and his family moved to Florida in 1963. He was employed by Eastern Airlines at Miami International Airport until his retirement in 1981. Following retirement, he moved to Debary, FL, where he resided until moving to Crossville in 2001. During his retirement, he loved working in his yard or his garage and he especially enjoyed hosting yard sales.
He was a member of the First Congregational Church in Crossville. He was a member of the Elks Lodge 844 and a member of the Masonic Lodge in Winsted, CT. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 163, VFW Post 5025, Woodman of the World Lodge 900, 127 South Senior Center and the Fair Park Senior Center.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Frances Weigold Green; son, Raymond Green and wife, Catherine, of White Lake, MI; daughters, Cheryl Sears and husband, Anthony, of Firestone, CO, and Janis McCord of Coconut Creek, FL; grandchildren, Brian Sears and wife, Paula, of Seattle, WA, Robert Sears and wife, Tamara, of Firestone, CO, Craig Sears and wife, Terri, of Phoenix, AZ, Eric Green and wife, Amber, of Pittsburg, PA, Melissa Green also of Pittsburg, PA, Jesse Green of Georgetown, KY, and Sean and Dustin Howard, both of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; great-grandchildren, Dakota and James Sears of Firestone, CO; nephew, Robert Adam of Homeland, CA; sister-in-law, Evelyn Crane of Fairfield Glade, TN; and brother-in-law, Robert Weigold of Pleasant Hill, TN.
The family has respectfully asked that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Upper Cumberland Development District, 1225 South Willow Ave., Cookeville, TN 38506 or the charity of your choice.

Richard McNew
Dec. 27, 1955 — Sept. 10, 2007
Richard Orme McNew, 51, of Crossville, TN, passed away Monday, Sept. 10, 2007. Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 14, at 1 p.m. with Bro. Phil Jenkins officiating. Interment will be in Green Acres Memory Gardens in Crossville. A memorial service will be held in Raleigh, NC, at a later date.
He was born Dec. 27, 1955, in Crossville, TN, and lived in Raleigh, NC, for 20 years. He was a mechanic and owned his own Volkswagen repair and restoration shop.
He is survived by his daughter, Brittney Cheri McNew of Wake Forrest, NC; stepfather, Paul McNew of Crossville; son, Derrick Wesley McNew, of Raleigh, NC; father, Larry (Tony) Hodge Sr. of Crossville; sisters, Susan Day of Nashville, TN and Mary Hodge of Denver, CO; and brothers, Randall McNew, Larry Hodge Jr. and David Hodge, all of Crossville, Scott Hodge of Nashville, TN, and Troy Hodge of Charleston, TN.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Ruth (Hyder) McNew; sister, Nancy Louise Hodge; and brother, Paul Joseph Hodge.

Karen Elizabeth Wilson
Jan. 24, 2007 — Sept. 10, 2007
Karen Elizabeth Wilson, 56, of Fairfield Glade, TN, passed away Sept. 10, 2007. Memorial services will be held Saturday, Sept. 15, at 11 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church in Fairfield Glade. Burial will be in Lenawee Hills Memorial Park in Adrian, MI, on Monday, Sept. 17.
She was born Jan. 24, 1951, in Cadillac, MI, the daughter of Lonal and Elizabeth Bishop. She had worked in earlier years as a sales clerk. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church were she was very active in WELCA. She also belonged to the Stamping Club in Fairfield Glade. She enjoyed league bowling and loved to play golf. Her warm smile and zest for life were a great inspiration to all who knew and loved her. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known her.
She is survived by her husband, Vernon Wilson of Fairfield Glade; brother, David Bishop and wife, Judy, of Adrian, MI; sisters, Susan Randolph and husband, Ronald, of Tecumseh, MI, and Nancy Bartlett and husband, David, of Aurora, CO; and many special nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Calixtro Torres; and children, Laura Torres and David Torres.
The family has respectfully asked donations be made to Hospice of Cumberland County.
