L.B. McClain, 97, of Crossville, formerly of Powell, passed away August 30, 2007 at Cumberland Medical Center. Funeral services were conducted Sept. 2 from the Broadway Chapel of Rose Mortuary of Knoxville. Interment was in Lynch-Bethel Cemetery.
Mr. McClain was owner and operator of McClain Motor Service for over 42 years.
Survivors include his wife, Lorene; children, Betty (Rice) Bowen and husband Sam of Springdale, AR, Wilda Baker and husband David of Powell, Carolyn Holson and husband Robert of Siloam Springs, AR and Judy Iturbe and husband Wayne of Powell; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two stepchildren; and special friend and caregiver, Roy Lanz.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Browning McClain; and daughters, Deloris Ann McClain and Barbara (Bobbie) Evans.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lantana Road Baptist Church building fund in Crossville.
Rose Mortuary of Knoxville was in charge of the arrangements.
