Glennon E. Orsley
June 26, 1916 — Aug. 4, 2007
Glennon Ellery Orsley, 91, of Crossville, passed away Aug. 4, 2007. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Father Jim Harvey will officiate.
Mr. Orsley was born June 26, 1916, in Elmira, NY, the son of Harry and Rosella Boothe Orsley.
He was retired from GAF as a film coating technician and was also a U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II. He was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and loved to play golf.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Orsley of Crossville; son and daughter-in-law, William and Kathleen Orsley of Fernley, NV; daughters and sons-in-law, Lois and Wadie Sirgany of Manassas, VA and Linda and John Campbell of Kingston Springs, TN; grandchildren, Alicia Orsley, Matthew Sirgany and Laura Lewis (Josh); and great-grandchildren, Ocean, Chloe and Maria Lewis.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gerald Orsley.
Hood Funeral Home and Crematory, LLC was in charge of the arrangements.

James M. Swallows
April 3, 1938 — Aug. 9, 2007
James Marvin Swallows, 69, of Crossville, passed away Aug. 9, 2007.
Mr. Swallows was born April 3, 1938, in Cumberland County, the son of Clarence and Ruby Parsons Swallows.
He was a founding member of Trinity Tabernacle Church. He graduated from Cumberland County High School with the class of 1956 and graduated from Tennessee Tech in 1971. He served in the United States Army from 1961 to 1963. He retired from TVA in 1994 and he enjoyed traveling, sightseeing and occasional procurement of goods.
Survivors include his wife, Bernese Smith Swallows; and daughter, Leigh Ann Swallows Peterman.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers were Wayne Burnett, Clifford Davis, Jamie Jackson, Fred Parsons, Gene Smith, Kelly Smith, Paul Smith and Mike Welch.
Honorary pallbearer was Lloyd Jackson.
Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
