Orland E. Cooper
Dec. 23, 1925 — June 4, 2007
Orland E. Cooper, 81, of Crossville, passed away June 4, 2007. Funeral services were conducted June 6 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with Bro. Warren Burns, Marie Cooper and Danny Husk officiating. Special music was by Eumelia and Annie Cooper. Interment was in Spring City Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Tennessee National Guard.
Mr. Cooper was born Dec. 23, 1925, Quinton, OK, the son of Jesse and Reba (Payne) Cooper.
He was retired from Carter Concrete where he was a plant supervisor. He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Betty (Ezell) Cooper of Crossville; daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Steven Kolman of Aledo, TX, Sandra and Anthony Azzari of Templeton, CA, Laura and James Adams of Crossville and Sheila and Jason Seiber of Crossville; sons, Larry Cooper of Conroe, TX and Clifford Shelby of Crossville; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Elaine and Lonnie Wiles of Hickman, CA and Lorraine and Donald Wallace of Oakley, CA.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lowell Cooper and Leon Cooper.
Pallbearers were Larry Cooper, Michael Shelby, John Shelby, Matthew Kolman, Steve Kolman, Jason Seiber, James Adams and Gary Jones.
Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.

Johnnie E. Garrison
Oct. 9, 1927 — June 7, 2007
Johnnie Elmore Garrison, 79, of Crossville, passed away June 7, 2007. Funeral services were conducted June 10 from the chapel of Crossville Memorial Funeral Home, with the Rev. Gene Burgess officiating. Special music was provided by the Gene Burgess Singers. Burial was in Crossville City Cemetery.
Mr. Garrison was born Oct. 9, 1927, in Overton County, the son of Spoon Masters and Frances Dailey.
He was a retired law enforcement officer and a member of the Sparta Hwy. Church of God.
Survivors include his wife, Annie Lou Garrison of Crossville; daughter, Linda Owens; grandson, Johnnie Owens of Dayton; great-grandson, Bradley Owens of Dayton; stepchildren, Fred Stoops and Christine Sells; and a host of step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Myrtle Garrison.
Pallbearers were Beachel Hall, Cole Hall, Cedric Hall, Chris Hall, Willis Hall and Dave Brewer.
Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.

Sheila L. Lewis
Oct. 17, 1948 — June 5, 2007
Sheila Louann (Brown) Lewis, 58, of Crossville, passed away June 5, 2007. A graveside service was held at Bolin Cemetery June 8, with Bro. Mike Kerley officiating.
Mrs. Lewis was born Oct. 17, 1948, in Pleasant View, TN, the daughter of Mitchell and Lois Brown.
She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband, William B. Lewis of Crossville; son, Brian Lewis of Crossville; mother, Lois Brown; sisters, Lana Blaylock and Carol Brown of Pleasant Hill; brothers, Eddie Brown, Carlton Brown and Stephen Brown, all of Crossville; and two grandchildren.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Kim Lewis; and son, Kirk Lewis.
Pallbearers were Jacob Norris, Justin Norris, Jerry Iles, Tracy Shelton, Josh Shelton and Scott Blaylock.

William L. Marshall Jr.
March 9, 1925 — June 1, 2007
William "Bill" Leroy Marshall Jr., 82, of Crossville, passed away June 1, 2007. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 12 at the St. Francis of Assisi Columbarium.
Mr. Marshall was born March 9, 1925, in Terre Haute, IN, the son of William L. and Helen Ione (Hann) Marshall Sr.
He was retired from the FFA where he worked in maintenance. He served in the United States Navy and was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his daughter, Sandra Cordola of Stuart, FL; son, Jack Marshall of Hillsdale, IN; sisters, Dorothy Marshall of Crossville and Carolyn Sue Nichol of Rio Rancho, NM; brother, James Marshall of Crossville; and five grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Norma Louise Cicerone; and brothers, Clyde Marshall, David Marshall and Charles Marshall.

Jimmy F. Mayfield
June 10, 2007
Jimmy Franklin Mayfield, 69, of Benton, TN, passed away June 10, 2007. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, in the South Chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home of Etowah, TN, with the Rev. Art Thornton officiating. Family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be at 2 p.m. CDT, Tuesday, at the Linary Cemetery in Crossville.
Mr. Mayfield was a native of Polk County and a former resident of Rockwood and Crossville. He was a son of the late Joe Ben and Gracie Bell Coe Mayfield.
He was of the Baptist faith and was a graduate of Carson-Newman College and had a master's degree from Tennessee Tech. He was a probation officer for the state of Tennessee.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Houston Mayfield of Benton, TN; son and daughter-in-law, Joe Howard and Jennifer Mayfield of Marietta, GA; stepdaughter and spouse, Diedre and Anthony Seay of Benton, TN; stepson, Michael Galyon of Tunnel Hill, GA; grandchildren, Alexander and Abigail Mayfield; and step-grandchildren, Zachary Seay and Harlee Galyon.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Robert Lee Mayfield.

Dawson E. Reed
July 28, 1977 — May 21, 2007
Dawson Eric Reed, 29, of Crossville, TN, passed away May 21, 2007. Funeral services were held May 24 from the chapel of Hood Funeral Home. The Rev. Larry Young officiated with burial in Big Lick Cemetery.
Mr. Reed was born July 28, 1977, the son of Dawson and Brenda Rector Reed. He was employed as an electrician with ADT and sometimes operated heavy equipment. He enjoyed life and all his surroundings. He liked to fish and hunt. He loved spending time with his friends and family, living life to the fullest. He was a wonderful son, brother and friend that will be greatly missed by everyone that knew and loved him.
He is survived by his parents, Dawson and Brenda Reed of Crossville; sister, Jolene Young and husband, Shannon, of Robbins, TN; and uncles and aunts, Ralph and Nancy Reed of Crossville, Sue and Don Painter of Oakdale, TN, Mary Peck of Crossville, Charles and Debbie Carson of Luts, FL, and Mary Reed of Crossville.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wilker and Ethel Reed and Joe and Pauline Rector.
Pallbearers were Kyle Reed, Chris Reed, Tim Lafever, Chip Reed, Dusty Branch and Nathan Reed.
