Bertie E. de Sabla, 88, of Crossville, passed away May 24, 2007, in Alexian Village in Chattanooga. Funeral services were conducted May 27 from the chapel of Rogers Funeral Home of Jasper, TN, with the Rev. Bill Smith officiating. Interment was in Pine Grove Cemetery in Jasper.
Mrs. de Sabla was the daughter of the late John and Margaret Estelle Barnett Edmonds.
She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Crossville.
Survivors include her daughter, Ruth E. Farquhar of Signal Mountain; grandchildren, Jennifer (Ralph) Sears of Raleigh, NC, Stephen (Beth) Farquhar of Signal Mountain and Melanie Lynch of Lafayette, GA; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, John B. Edmonds of Sequatchie, TN and Charlie Edmonds of Rhode Island; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Davis de Sabla; and sisters, Rada Belle Ables and Louise Brewer.
