Elizabeth L. Koehler
Aug. 1, 1928 — April 23, 2007
Elizabeth Louise "Betty" Koehler, 75, of Fairfield Glade, passed away April 23, 2007. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 5, at Fairfield Glade Community Church, with the Rev. Dale Marshall officiating.
Mrs. Koehler was born Aug. 1, 1928, in Sheboygan, WI, the daughter of Hansel and Hildegarde LaFond Wysocki.
She was a homemaker and a member of Fairfield Glade Community Church where her husband of 57 years, Wolfgang Koehler, had served as former pastor. She graduated from Lakeland College in 1950 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in music. There she studied under vocal professor Madam Elsa Behlert Bauer. She was blessed with a beautiful voice and loved music. She was once director of Green County Swiss Singers in Monroe, WI, and directed many children's choirs. She also loved to fish and enjoyed swimming.
Survivors include her husband, Wolfgang Koehler of Fairfield Glade; sons and daughter-in-law, Erich and Joanne Koehler of Key Largo, FL and Matthew Koehler of Madison, WI; and grandson, Alexander Koehler.
The family has respectfully asked that donations be made to Hospice of Cumberland County or Fairfield Glade Community Church.

Lillie M. Miller
Oct. 10, 1935 — April 26, 2007
Lillie Mae Miller, 71, of Crossville, passed away April 26, 2007. Funeral services were conducted April 29 from the chapel of Hood Funeral Home, with the Rev. Don Kenne and Bro. Junior Pugh officiating. Special music was provided by Roberta Schubert. Burial was in Woody Cemetery.
Mrs. Miller was born Oct. 10, 1935, in Cumberland County, the daughter of Sanders and Ella Woody Keyes.
She had worked for the Cumberland County School System and United Methodist Church Camp. She was also a member of Lawrence Chapel Church of God of Prophecy. She had many talents, some of which were her excellent cooking skills and the ability to make such warm and beautiful quilts that she shared with so many. She was always there to help anyone in need. She loved to have yard sales where she always gave the merchandise instead of selling. Her daughters and her grandchildren were the most important part of her life and the love she shared with them is never ending.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Treva and Roger Sharp of Smithville, Brenda Miller and Betty Miller of Crossville, Charlotte and Jeff Kerley of Oak Ridge and Debbie and Rickie Edwards of Pulaski; sisters, Thelma Hall and Christine Wattenbarger of Crossville; brother, Oliver Keyes of Taylor, MI; grandchildren, Roger Sharp Jr., Christy Crye, Mike Boughton, Jeff Boughton, Chris Miller, Pam Barker, Steven Sweet, Cruz Edwards and Lexy Edwards; and great-grandchildren, Roger Sharp III, Sarah Bradley, Macy Crye, Whitney Miller, Ethan Barker and Jacob Sweet.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Houston Miller; brothers, Edward Keyes, Wallace Keyes and Gene Keyes; and sisters, Vernie Keyes and Jewell Day.
Pallbearers were Lewis Taylor, Roger Sharp Sr., Rickey Keyes, Gary Phipps, Steve Robinson, Ronnie Keyes, Leslie Wattenbarger and Jeff Bougton.
Honorary pallbearers were Oliver Keyes and Hubert Bilbrey.

Stanley C. Sampley Jr.
May 12, 1938 — April 26, 2007
Stanley Charles Sampley Jr., 68, of Crossville, passed away April 26, 2007. A gathering of family and friends will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 12, at the Fairfield Glade Sportsman's Club.
Mr. Sampley was born May 12, 1938, in Monterey.
He was a long-time resident of Crossville and a member of First Baptist Church in Crossville. He served in the United States Marines and the United States Air Force. He served as a sheriff's deputy and ATF agent in Tennessee, and was a driller of gas and oil wells. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed fishing, hunting, shooting skeet and trap and entertaining friends with interesting anecdotes.
Survivors include his wife, Becky Carol Stinson Sampley of Crossville; beloved daughter, Susan Cynthia Bickford of Burkley, MA; son, Stanley C. Sampley III of Boston, MA; stepson, Patrick Kelly (Bear) Capeheart of Sugarhill, GA; grandchildren, Christopher, Dan, Erin, Drew, Allie and Jett.
He was preceded in death by his father, Stanley Charles Sampley Sr.; mother, Mollie Dear Woody Sampley Host; stepfather, Ernest Host Jr.; and brother, Larry Alan Host.
Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
