Michael B. Tollett
March 8, 1947 — April 18, 2007
Michael Bruce Tollett, 60, of Crossville, passed away April 18, 2007. Funeral services were conducted April 21 at Central Baptist Church, with Bro. Roland Smith and Bro. Bobby Bowen officiating. Special music was provided by Mandy Barnett and Sybil Brown. Interment was in Green Acres Memory Gardens, with military honors provided by the Tennessee Army National Guard.
Mr. Tollett was born March 8, 1947, in Crossville, the son of Leonard Burton and Carlene (Elmore) Tollett.
He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was the general manager of Crossville Tire from 1987 to 2004 and was a member of Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Sue (Adams) Tollett of Crossville; daughters, Lori and Lisa Tollett of Charlotte, NC; mother, Carlene (Elmore) Tollett of Crossville; sisters and brother-in-law, Betty Barnett and Linda and Kendall Smith, all of Crossville; nieces, Kim Smith and Mandy Barnett; and great-niece, Zoe Smith.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Burton Tollett; and nephew, Brian Smith.
Pallbearers were Harold Warner, Keith Hinch, Wayne Shadden, Robert Parsons, Jackie Tollett, Kendall Smith, Scott Elmore and Greg Barnwell.
Honorary pallbearers were Danny Smith, Tony Noland, Vic Tollett, Charles Walling, Jason Bilyeu, Steve Kotus, Norman Adams, Albert Adams, Earl Adams, Darrell Young, Rodney Dodson and Grover McCoy.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Mike Tollett Memorial Scholarship Fund at Cumberland County Bank.
He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
