Daniel Jacober
March 15, 1926 — April 19, 2007
Daniel Jacober, 81, of Fairfield Glade, passed away April 19, 2007. There will be a gathering of friends from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, April 28, at the Jacober home.
Mr. Jacober was born March 15, 1926, in Cleveland, OH, the son of Maurice and Lillian Simon Jacober.
He was a retired optician, a Hospice volunteer, member of the Plateau Writers Group and really enjoyed writing.
Survivors include his wife, Sheryl "Sherry" Jacober of Fairfield Glade; daughters, Sherilyn (Ken) Levine of Cleveland, OH, and Jodi Manfredi of San Diego, CA; grandchildren, Marni Conte, David Levine, Lindsey Breslauer and Michael Manfredi; three great-grandchildren; and brothers, Dr. Erwin Jay and Robert Jacober.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Reed Jacober.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Cumberland County or the Art Guild of Fairfield Glade.
Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. is in charge of the arrangements.

Ernest A. Stevens
May 4, 1929 — April 19, 2007
Ernest Allen Stevens, 77, of Crossville, passed away April 19, 2007. Funeral services were conducted April 22 from the chapel of Crossville Memorial Funeral Home, with Pastor Johnny Reeves officiating. Burial was in Fredonia Cemetery.
Mr. Stevens was born May 4, 1929, in Cumberland County, the son of Seward Stevens and Harriet Mary Dixon Stevens.
He was a member of Love Freewill Baptist Church and worked in auto body repair. He enjoyed hunting quail and grouse, painting and riding through the country.
Survivors include Pat Stevens and their children, Jody Stevens and wife Teresa and Loretta Turner and husband Gerry, all of Crossville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Sandra Stevens; and aunt, Dorothy Dawson.
Pallbearers were Johnny Copeland, Josh Martin, Buddy Page, Tony Page, Bruce Page and Bruce Miller.
Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.

Edith E. B. Wells
July 11, 1920 — April 12, 2007
Edith Ellen Barnes Wells passed away April 12, 2007, at Daytona Health and Rehabilitation Center in Daytona Beach, FL, after an extended illness.
Mrs. Wells was born July 11, 1920, in Cumberland County, the daughter of Martin Gilbert "Gib" and Sarah Jane Barnes. Also preceding her in death were her sister, Dulcie Barnes; and brothers, Wilburn, Conard and Sidney Barnes.
She was married to the late Robert L. Wells. They had three sons, Roger, Gordon and Milburn. Roger and Milburn also preceded her in death.
After raising her family, she later moved to Florida, where she lived for approximately 38 years. She was a housewife, factory worker and store clerk.
She was the grandmother of six and had five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
New Life Funeral Chapel of Daytona Beach, FL, was in charge of the arrangements.
