Sarah E. Eldridge
April 14, 2007
Sarah E. "Libby" Eldridge, 81, passed away April 14, 2007, in Crossville. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, at Sherwood Chapel and Memorial Gardens in Alcoa. The Rev. Gary Robbins will officiate, with interment service to follow. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Eldridge was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Crossville. She retired from Walt Disney World with 14 years of service.
She was born in Elmore County, Alabama, and moved to Florida 53 years ago. She moved back to Tennessee in 2003.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 54 years, Hugh Eldridge; daughters, Laura Floss and husband Russell of Orlando, FL and Patricia Harris and husband Jerry of Crossville; son, James Franklin of Clearwater, FL; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Sherwood Chapel and Memorial Gardens of Alcoa is in charge of the arrangements.

Lyle N. Green
June 26, 1957 — April 12, 2007
Lyle N. Green, 49, of Crossville, passed away April 12, 2007. Funeral services were conducted April 15 from Fredonia Baptist Church, with Bro. Tommy Slaton officiating. Interment was in Green Acres Memory Gardens.
Mr. Green was born June 26, 1957, in Crossville, the son of Willard Harrison and Mary Frances (Smith) Green.
He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam war. He was a member of Fredonia Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughter, Ashley Renee Green of Crossville; son, Christopher Andrew Green of Crossville; sister, Lora Browne of Gallatin; brothers, Frank Green of Sparta and Wade Green of Crossville; and stepmother, Lois Green of Crossville.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers were Dwayne Massengill, Mike Stout, Phillip Turner, Scottie Howard, Bobby Farmer and Keith Turner.
Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.

Robert E. Jones
Aug. 19, 1973 — April 12, 2007
Robert Earl "Robby" Jones, 33, of Crossville, passed away April 12, 2007. Funeral services were conducted April 14 from Pomona Methodist Church, with Bro. Bratton Tucker officiating. Interment was in Crossville City Cemetery.
Mr. Jones was born Aug. 19, 1973, in Crossville, the son of Haskell Monroe and Kathryn (Evans) Jones of Crossville.
He worked for the Cumberland County Sanitation Department.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Paulette (Wyatt) Jones of Crossville; and grandmother, Louella (Cate) Jones.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Haskell Jones; and grandparents, Robert H. and Delphia (Meek) Evans.
Pallbearers were Tracy Lewis, Melvin Woolford, Jerry Graham, John W. Hall, Doug Sullivan, Tom Long and John Long.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Robby's memory to the Pomona Methodist Church building fund.

Elmer T. Matthews
July 22, 1942 — April 13, 2007
Elmer Thomas Matthews, 64, of Crossville, passed away April 13, 2007. Funeral services were conducted April 16 from the chapel of Crossville Memorial Funeral Home, with Mike Kerley and Wayne Matthews officiating. Special music was provided by Marcella Gunter. Burial was in Rinnie Cemetery. The Veterans Honor Guard provided military honors and served as pallbearers. A Masonic service was provided by the local Masons.
Mr. Matthews was born July 22, 1942, in Fentress County, the son of Nasby and Leana Wright Matthews.
He was a cabinet maker and served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Gerri "Geraldine" Matthews; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Jim Meystedt; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Sheila Matthews; stepson and wife, Bryan and Michelle Brewer; grandchildren, Jacqueline Meystedt, Isabella Meystedt, Kayla Matthews, Peyton Carr, Tyler Brewer, Brady Brewer, Sarah Meystedt, Emily Meystedt, Nathan Meystedt, and Little Buddy, Nicholes Varney; brothers, Dean and Stanley Matthews; and sisters, Mildred Crabtree, Nola Hawn, Mae Flora Prange, Carol Potter and Grace Pyles.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Menice Wright.
Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
