Fairia N. Davidson

July 8, 1931 — March 24, 2007

Fairia N. Davidson, 75, of Cookeville passed away March 24, 2007. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, at Cookeville First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Bobby Davis officiating. The family will receive friends at Crest Lawn Funeral Home from noon to 1 p.m. prior to the services at Cookeville First Assembly of God Church. Burial will follow in the Neal Cemetery in Byrdstown, TN.

Mrs. Davidson was born July 8, 1931, in Byrdstown, TN, the daughter of the late Henry Allen Neal and Allie Mae Garrett Neal.

She was a member of the Assembly of God faith. She retired in 2003 as a real estate broker with First Realty Company. She also sold real estate at Heritage Real Estate in Cookeville and with Century 21 in Nashville. She served the Tennessee Department of Transportation as chief of revenue and assistant commissioner. She had many firsts. She served as the first woman president of the Jaycees, the Chamber of Commerce in Cumberland County, the Board of Discipleship in Nashville, the Board of Realtors and manager of WAEW am/fm radio station in Crossville, TN.

Mrs. Davidson was listed in the Outstanding Young Woman of America in 1965 and as Community Leader in America. In 1968, she was Jaycette of the Year. She was a leader in the Republican Party and a member of Republican State Executive Committee.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Finchum of Joelton, TN, Angela Fox of Portland, OR, Rose and Jay Sabine of Crossville and Dawn and Tom Gaw III of Cookeville; sons and daughter-in-law, Keith and Faith Davidson of PonteVedra, FL and William Moore of Nashville; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, H. Dennis Davidson; sister, Lois Carson; son, Henry D Davidson; daughter, Patricia Wey; and two granddaughters, Loree Finchum and Tamie Hooper.

Mrs. Davidson's grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be first Realty Company.

Cora B. Dixon

Feb. 26, 1916 — March 20, 2007

Cora B. Dixon, 91, of Crossville, passed away March 20, 2007. Funeral services were conducted March 23 from Plateau Independent Baptist Church, with Bro. Freddy Melton officiating. Burial was in Green Acres Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Dixon was born Feb. 26, 1916, in Cumberland County, the daughter of George B. and Lou Mae Adams Barnwell.

She was owner of the Crossville Flea Market and a member of Plateau Independent Baptist Church for more than 50 years. She loved to fish and go shopping. She was always helping other people and spent time visiting the nursing homes. Her family and friends were the most important part of her life.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Dennis Ray and Lois Wilbanks of Crossville; grandchildren, Lou Ann Wilbanks and George and John Wilbanks; dearest friend, Kathleen Wyatt and her family; and special friends, Marilyn Hamby, Nancy Norris, Frances Rose and Dorothy Deck.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Ray Wilbanks and Cordell Dixon; and sister, Rose Barnwell Dixon.

Pallbearers were Brett Wyatt, Dewayne Vanwinkle, Troy Carter, Mark Langley, Larry Robbins and Danny Wyatt.

Margaret Ann Keyes

Oct. 23, 1934 — March 22, 2007

Margaret Ann "Bobbie" (Hodges) Keyes, 72, of Crossville, passed away March 22, 2007. Funeral services were conducted March 25 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jerry K. Wallace officiating. Interment was in Crossville City Cemetery.

Mrs. Keyes was born Oct. 23, 1934, in Crossville, the daughter of Gilbert and Violet (Hale) Hodges.

She was a drug and alcohol abuse counselor and a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Mark Rich of Crossville; son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Melissa Keyes of Crossville; and grandchildren, Melissa Rich, Rachel Rich and Bailey Keyes.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Andrew Keyes.

Pallbearers were Steve Bolin, Eric Wright, Jeff Wallace, Wayne Shadden, Billy Hyder, Ike Hale and Frank Pursell.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Fourth Dimension, PO Box 986, Crossville, TN 38557.

Oliver L. McCampbell

Oct. 20, 1922 — March 23, 2007

Oliver Lee McCampbell, 84, of Crossville, passed away March 23, 2007. Funeral services were conducted March 26 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with Pastor Mark Hall officiating. Special music was by his great-granddaughter, Jadaya Taylor and 4 Victory. Interment was in Tollett's Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. McCampbell was born Oct. 20, 1922, in Cumberland County, the son of Oscar and Onie (Wyatt) McCampbell.

He was an industrial worker for general processing for 19 years. He had a great love for animals. He enjoyed the outdoors and working on small engines and always looked forward to the great times fishing with his wife and good friend, Mitchell Pennington. He was a wonderful husband of 64 years and a beloved father and grandfather.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret (Richards) McCampbell of Crossville; sons and daughters-in-law, Lee and Sandy McCampbell of Arkansas and Jerry and Anna McCampbell of Crossville; daughters and sons-in-law, Glenna and Harold Hall of Crossville and Phyllis and Larry Owens of South Carolina; sisters, Lorene Kendrick, Alene Tabor and Kathleen Woody; five grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and special caregivers, Robin Smith, Mike Cooper and Jewel King.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Shannon McCampbell and John L. McCampbell; and grandson, Glenn Edward Hall.

Pallbearers were Johnny Hall, Steve Christian, Marvin Rector, Jeff Tabor, Steve Taylor, Brad Demetro, Aubrey Barnwell, Everett Barnwell, Mike Cooper and Rocky Smith.

Honorary pallbearers were Malcolm King and Sam McCampbell.

Ray L. Miller

Oct. 8, 1937 — March 23, 2007

Ray Louis Miller, 69, of Crossville, passed away March 23, 2007. Funeral services were conducted March 26 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with Bro. Ralph Reagan officiating. Interment was in Haley's Grove Cemetery in Crab Orchard.

Mr. Miller was born Oct. 8, 1937, in Scott County, TN, the son of Wilburn Rousseau and Bertie Edith (Diden) Miller Sr.

He was a factory worker and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Donny Ray and Sharon Campbell Miller of Crossville; daughter, Katherine Miller of Crossville; granddaughters, Jennifer Lynn Miller and Amber Nicole Miller of Crossville; grandson, Adam Ray Miller of Crossville; great-granddaughters, Breanna Rae Miller and Chelsie Grace Miller-Cross of Crossville; brothers, Roy Miller of La Vergne, Wilburn Miller of Crossville, Charles Miller and Johnny Paul Miller; and sisters, Della Jean Welch of La Vergne, Katie Jane Petty of Crossville and Edith June Escue of La Vergne.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Grace (Barnwell) Miller; and brothers, L.C. Lynn Miller and J.V. Glenn Miller.

Pallbearers were Adam Miller, Wally Dunbar, Tim Reagan, Danny Potter, George Wyatt and Jeremy Smith.
