It is once again time for the Salvation Army “Red Kettle” Campaign.  It will kick off with “Celebrity Day” Nov. 28. This day is where business owners, the city of Crossville and Cumberland County officials come and give an hour or two of their time to help a child in need. This event will be held at the Crossville Wal-Mart.

There will be kettles set up at other locations such as Kroger, Kmart, Big Lots, Walgreens and FFG Food City.  We are looking for bell ringers as we have a lot of days and hours to cover.  If you would be interested in taking an hour or two, please contact Norma Phipps at (931)788-3414. For those of you who that would like to make a donation you can mail checks to PO Box 3411, Crossville TN 38557.

Funds raised in Cumberland County stay in Cumberland County to help the at-risk children with their immediate needs when they are removed from their homes due to drugs, neglect, abuse, etc. Each year, the Cumberland County Salvation Army sends a group of children to the Salvation Army camp in Burkesville, KY. These children would probably never have an opportunity to go to camp otherwise. The Salvation Army also has a Christmas program that helps with toys, gifts, and food baskets for those in need.

Please, if you have an hour or two to help, just call Norma and she will get you set up with a day and time. We thank all of you that support us. We could not do it without you!
