A Cookeville woman critically injured in a weekend crash on a rural Cumberland County road has died at a regional trauma center.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol reports that Gina Stultz, 32, died from her injuries suffered in the single-vehicle accident that occurred Saturday around 2:20 p.m. on Jim Garret Rd. near Mayland. She was previously incorrectly identified by the Chronicle as Jenna Stultz.

Stultz and Misty Stultz, 28, of Monterey, were the only occupants in a 2002 Acura that was traveling south when it left the road, spun out of control and flipped over four or five times. Both occupants were ejected, according to Trooper Jack Alderman. Investigators are still trying to talk to witnesses to determine who was driving the vehicle.

Both victims were airlifted to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga. Misty Stultz's injuries were described as serious at the time of the accident.

Alderman and THP's Critical Incident Response Team are continuing their investigation into the crash.
